    Gaming headsets?

I am in the market for a gaming headset for PS3. I have heard mixed reviews on the Turtle Beach P21's. I saw the they are coming out with the PX21's to replace them. I tried finding a date they will be released and I can't find anything.

Does anyone know anything about the Tritton headsets?

    Any other recommendations?

P21's sound pretty good for the money. But make SURE you keep your receipt. I bought a pair and they died after 3 days, I was able to get them replaced. They only have 1 year warranty.

If I were you I would get something better like the Trittons.

And if you really want to go nuts there are always the Astro headsets.

Only a mod can get away with a double post and not get flamed for it. I am amazed how much some of these headsets cost. I seen one in Best Buy the other day for 360 and it was $200.

I have the Tritton headset and it works great but if you play for too long your ears will get a little sweaty. I think I paid $95 on newegg for the one that I have.

I thought you could use your own Bluetooth for the PS3?

You can. I think he's looking for something that combines the in-game audio with the headset.

Looking at the Trittons, they have rectangular earphones. Do they cover the whole ear?

Did I double post? I didn't see it. Oops, I guess I did. Sorry about that. I took care of it.

im not a fan of wires, esp how the ps3 has to be hooked up with these.. but im gonna buy a 15 foot extender. so i can feed it behind my entertainment stand, then along the wall and behind my couch and right next to where i sit. just so the wires are not ascross the floor and where my kid can tug on them. id rather go through that small trouble than to use the wireless mics that die out over a few days.

I don't understand why you should ever have to worry about a wireless mic dying. Simply plug it in and have it charging when you're not using it. I've never had a wireless one die on me and I'll game for hours and hours on the weekend. When I'm done I just put it back on charge and it's ready to go the next time I am.

then i must have bad luck. bc i did that with 6, yes 6 wireless mics for the xbox 360. guess what? they all died within 2 months of use. i read not to keep them charging etc all the time after use. that its not good for it and what not. well, 6 of them prove that theory right in my case. so, not wasting time with that no more.
