Yeah, it was taken out of context too. He spent a lot of time talking about how his parents confronted him when he was overweight and had they just ignored the issue he might never have gotten healthy. His whole point was pretending that an issue isn't there is not fair to the girl.

It may seem a bit harsh, but he was also comparing it to those people out there who encourage obese people to be proud of their "curves", and sort of write off any health risks that are associated with the kind of lifestyle that goes with being overweight. Later, he also clarified there is a huge difference in being a little chubby or a few pounds overweight, and being morbidly obese.
Frankly she's been given this huge oppertunity to be a succesful hollywood star, but Stern's got a point, not only is she limited to the kind of roles she can do because of her weight, but how much longer can she even be up and kicking if she keeps on like this.Go Yankees

Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
It's really astounding that people are outraged over his comments about her... She's effing huge, nobody in their right mind can dispute that or contest that she's posing serious health risks to herself if she stays at this weight.
Forgive the rational people for not thinking that she'll have a hard time finding work after Precious. I don't really consider a bit part on a Showtime series as a big step up for someone coming off a Oscar nomination in a motion picture.
Remember when Katherine McPhee was on AI and Howard pointed out that she was little overweight? Everyone went up in arms but what do ya know... She lost weight shortly after the season wrapped.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Sometimes the truth is cruel is the bottom line. So you can avoid it and suffer the consequences or face it. I applaud Howard for his comments about her. It's simple reality.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
Honestly, Sirius has been nice enough. They give him 100 million a year to work 4 hour days and take 10-15 weeks a year off for vacation. He's now complaining about how they are mistreating him and undervaluing what he means to the company. He expressed wanting to work 3 hour days or this or that in the future. The dude is done. When he's on its obviously gold but his heart is just not in it and he seems to be getting more and more lazy. I hope he signs back if he's gonna put the work hours in. If not, he should leave and concentrate on other projects.Last edited by Adam Dayton; 03-12-2010, 08:13 PM.Comment

Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
I was listening to some of his old Krock shows, and he sounds exactly like he did when he was getting ready to leave there. He pretty much sounds like unless Sirius offers him completly favorable terms he's gonna leave. Now having said that, I agree with Robin, there's no way Stern is gonna be happy sitting home playing chess and watching TV for long. If he doesn't resign with Siruis it won't be long before he's back somewhere.Go Yankees

Out of curiosity...
How many of you guys would keep Sirius if Howard left?
I think at this point I'd prob save my 20 bucks a month and just listen to Slacker radio from my phone in my car.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
As far as Howard coming back though, I really do not see him coming back because they would have either gotten Artie back or Replaced him by now(I do enjoy the show more with out him though). Sounds cruel but I listen to Howard Stern Howard, Fred, and Robin. I could see Howard doing some kind of TV show though or maybe a weekly show. I wont be too upset because there is like 25 years of Reruns he can do.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
I actually love Artie but I don't want him back for a different reason. I think heading back to the show would prevent him from getting better. In order to get his head straight, he has to dedicate himself 100 percent to getting better for at least a year. Waking up at 4 am everyday and having his personal life being picked apart by a legendary observationalist would do nothing but be harmful to his spirit and prevent him from focusing his head where it needs to. I mean, the dude tried to commit seppuku. That is some heavy ****.Last edited by Adam Dayton; 03-13-2010, 10:55 PM.Comment

Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
I see you guys calling Howard lazy for wanting to work less, that's incredible to me, if I had the money in the bank he has I doubt i'd be working much at all! I don't see there's anything at all wrong with him wanting to work less considering what he's accomplished in his life, he deserves it. I would just hope he's willing to accept less money if he does...but even if not, Sirius can make their own choices and Howard can go elsewhere if need be.
As for me, I'll keep my Sirius without him, honestly I got it just to be able to listen to everything in the car and political talk radio at work and Howard was just a bonus.
Perhaps Sirius and him should consider him doing just occasional specials or something if it comes down to it.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

I miss artie on the show, he's probably my favorite personality on the show, but I agree I think for his well being he needs to be off the show.Last edited by ASB37; 03-14-2010, 02:31 PM.Go Yankees

I love his stories and his random impressions but if he were to get back on air I don't think he'd be able to make it without falling back to his old ways.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Re: Howard Stern Tiger Woods Mistress contest
So what are some of you guys' favorite "bits" from the show?
A few weeks ago I heard them play this during one of their "dark weeks" when they play the best of. I've heard them briefly do the kennedy impersonation a few times but this was like 30 straight minutes of it and I was hysterically laughing in the library.Go Yankees
