I've got roughly 1,400 songs on my iPod. It spans 13 genre's.


I seriously listen all music. From Mozart to Five Finger Death Punch to Boyz II Men to Billy Currington.

I'm also looking to get into some blue/jazz a bit maybe. One of the doctors had it on the OR last week, and I kind of liked it. I'm trying to listen to some BB King and so far it's pretty good. Can only listen to small snippets from itunes, though, because hardly any of the songs I'm finding are on youtube for the full version.

For B.B. King, IMO, his best album is Live at the Regal. Its short (35 minutes or so), but its one of the best live albums I have. His vocal performance is only outdone by his guitar performance. Another good place to start would the Singin The Blues/The Blues CD combo.

Albert King is a good, too. Born Under a Bad Sign is a classic. He did a session with SRV and its appropriately titled In Session With Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Not sure how far back you want to go, but Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, and Son House are all good places to start as well.

Some random cross-section of the rock genre. Bands I've been listening to recently include Lostprophets, Jimmy Eat World, AC/DC, Silversun Pickups, Rush, and Muse.

Also, while not rock music, Lady GaGa. For some reason I cannot explain.

Underground Hip-Hop (and sometimes Jay Z)

Used to listen to a ton of metal, don't care much for it nowadays unless the band is called Between the Buried and Me

Blues

Oldies/Classic Rock

Trip-hop, Psytrance, Dubstep on occasion

And then bands like Sublime, Weezer, RHCP, etc. (90s rock)

What do I hate: Current alternative (3 Days Grace, Hinder, Seether, just about anything on current rock radio stations...always looking for the nearest gun if that stuff is on around me), top 40 stuff (although Lady Gaga is really growing on me)

Looks like the scale is pretty wide when it comes to music in this site. And I like that, I don't want everyone to listen the same music.
