    Died suddenly of a heart attack at 83.

    With brother James Arness in younger days.

    The article I read said he was battling some for of cancer, no? Regardless, he was the face of M:I.

          I didn't realize that James Arness died a month ago. Little seemed to be made of it.

            I was not a Gunsmoke fan at all, but loved the original The Thing where Arness played the monster.

                First Leslie and now him. They were great in Airplane and I loved Mission Impossible. RIP.

                    Jack Perkins is still alive (age 77), currently hosting a weekly magazine program that airs on the tampa, florida PBS station.
