hard to pinpoint for sure because I go through periods where I like one more then others.
I guess i'd say Western which is ironic because as a kid I found them totally boring.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Your favourite genre of films
I chose action/adventure. I mostly like action films but not the over the top cheesy ones (like a Steven Segal movie for example).
Comedy was a close second.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Your favourite genre of films
The best films are most always drama, so I'll go with that. Westerns are a close second, followed by psychological thrillers. I have a lot of guilty pleasure favorites that fall under both the comedy and action genres, but a well crafted original dramatic film trumps everything.Comment

Re: Your favourite genre of films
I haven't decided yet but I'm leaning towards comedies. I think its harder to make a good comedy than to make a good dramatic film - plus a lot of my favorite films are comedies. I think westerns would come in the top 3. If Asian cinema was up there I would definitely pick that one, though.

Re: Your favourite genre of films
Interesting to see so many of you guys mention Westerns because they don't seem to make many of those anymore (3:10 to Yuma is last recent one i can think of).
I voted comedy because i go to the movies to escape reality and to have an enjoyable time so having a good laugh does that. I agree that there aren't that many great comedies made though when compared to good drama's and my favourite movies of all time are actually mostly drama's / epics.
They don't seem to make as many mindless shoot em up's like Rambo, Commando etc anymore which i always enjoyed. Any movies like that these days seem to star D grade stars and have low budgets for the most part.Comment

Beau Bridges is doing a remake of True Grit...Yes he's going to play the John Wayne role. I have NO IDEA how they're gonna make that work. So while the genre is on life support you still get a Western or two every couple years it seems.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
