Anyone else see the preview? Anyone interested? Kind of gives me a Harper's Island kind of vibe...hopefully it's better.

Happy Town
While watching Flash Forward I saw a commercial for a new show starting in April, Happy Town.

Re: Happy Town
I'll watch but I'm not positive.
The previews seemed a bit too cartoonish for me. Got that B movie Horror feel out of it."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Happy Town
There were times that I thought Harper's Island was a bit, for lack of a better word at the moment, hokey.Comment

Re: Happy Town
It has a bit of promise, reminds me of something Steven King would do more than anything else. The bad thing is, with this being a series with all these mysteries, it's kind of tough to commit to watching it without assurances that it's going to be resolved. With being burned so many times on small unanswered plots, this being up against some heavy competition and networks so quick to cancel shows I'll probably wait until it's been picked up for a second season before watching any more than I already have, unless it gets huge ratings then I'll watch.Comment

Pulled from ABC's schedule."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Happy Town
Not permanently, just for two weeks after this week's episode (Wed May 12) airs . Doesn't bode well for future seasons obviously, but at least ABC is planning on finishing airing this first season. Will return June 2, with the finale scheduled for June 30.
