    Undercover Boss

Have any of you guys watched this show?

I love it. So far they have done Waste Management, Hooters, 7-11, White Castle and Church Hill Downs.

Just seeing if anyone else watches it on here.

I watched it the first couple times.

I like the premise of the show but it feels like they stretch a half-hour show into an hour...

I caught the White Castle episode. Pretty decent show, just haven't found time to watch it again.

Thought it was great of the White Castle guy to give the drive thru attendent that money for his visually disabled son.

I've watched two and to me it's simply exploitive. Sure the boss gives some handouts to worthy, honest folks who need the help...but I was looking for some more sweeping changes to be implemented. Not just telling George at this branch to allow more time for lunch breaks. If anything, it would give the company some deserved goodwill in this down economy.

I did laugh out loud when I saw the preview for the Churchill Downs douche who said he had to "master his fear of horses". Shouldn't that have been in the job description? What's next, a vegetarian being appointed CEO of Burger King?

I've seen most of the episodes for this show. I like the premise of the show, however it just seems like they pick people with the worst possible situations or most intriguing story lines for the ceo/owner to interact with. I know that adding this little sub-plot is important within the context of the show, but I'd rather them focus on more on-the-job duties or something...don't know how to explain this right now, it just seems fixed (I know, it's a tv show).

Agree with both you guys, I really wanted to like this show but after seeing all the episodes prior to the Church Hill Downs one I just cant force myself to watch it any longer.

IT is some what fixed. Every episode has had someone with some kind of illness. They look for that 1 person they can fix. I was disappointed in the hooters episode when that Manger was allowed to stay at his job. If i was the big boss, that bastard would have been fired. There would have been no, change the way you act. IT would have been good bye your done.

They are also not going to put anything to bad about their company. They CEO's of these big ole businesses are not going to jeopardize their companies name.

I thought it was going to be horrible and only recorded it because its on after Amazing Race and CBS always runs late. It's good, they show great stories, but yeah they do pick the people for the CEO to interact with. The CEOs though have to give up control and CBS can show whatever they have. Its a great idea, but they have to do some stuff so that it will be interesting on TV.
