Ipod with CD converter for car

I just purchased my first used car, and I am used to having a cassette player/Ipod converter that looks like this:

The car I just purchased only has a CD player in it. I was curious if they have any converters for ipods out?

The only ones I have been able to find connect to the Cigarette lighter, which won't work because my GPS connects to that.

    Any help is appreciated!

Unfortunately if your CD player doesn't have a USB or AUX plug in you will have to use a radio frequency tuner which loses A LOT of sound quality all the while fighting for signal. That will really suck if that's the case, IMO, because I love listening to clear sounding music.

Just take a look at local stores and you'll find what you need http://www.bestbuy.com/site/iPod-MP3...d=abcat0307011

Wrong unless it is a really old cd player. Most CD players have a port on the back that is used for amps, cd changers, etc. You can buy a box that will allow you to plug a rca cable into the box, then into the port, and into the 3.5mm headphone jack. Check at www.crutchfield.com for the car model. If the cd player is aftermarket, check the brand and model and you should be able to find the adapter.
