Bourne Ultimatum actor/stuntman Joey Ansah is trying to do what has only ended in spectacular, hilarious failure before: make a Street Fighter movie. Street Fighter Legacy, a short film co-written, co-directed and choreographed by Ansah, is an attempt to treat Capcom's fighting franchise the right way, with an emphasis on a grown-up story and faithful visuals. Apparently, the project is promising enough to receive Capcom's "blessing," according to Ansah.
The short-film, directed by Ansah and Owen Trevor (Top Gear) is filled with top-notch Hollywood talent (at least behind the scenes) including James Bond producer Anthony Waye as executive producer and visual effects from Prime Focus.
Ansah hopes the project will be "a love letter to the Fans and the brilliance of the game. As a result I've gone to every length to be as faithful as possible down to the smallest details of the costume, the choreography, the narrative, the original music themes and of course the special moves!"
