You're right. I meant more interwoven as a prequel as some people earlier suggested.

    As far as your spoiler

LOL! Well yeah, this is an original work and most definitely not a prequel of some sort.

I saw the movie last night and loved it. It definitely was one of the best movies I've seen in a while and I loved the 80's vibe that the movie put off. Normally I'm checking my watch or phone during a movie wondering how much time it has left, but last night I lost all track of time and never checked once. It was definitely entertaining and money well spent in my opinion. My only complaint is the last 15 minutes. I felt like it was a little corny and rushed. It's like they worked hard on developing the rest of the story and then ran out of time and had to throw an ending out there in a hurry. For those of you on the fence about seeing it, I definitely recommend you give it a shot.

Just watched it, it was alright nothing too special. Like most people stated, the characters and the monster really didn't have an interaction at all. It did almost seem like two different movies spliced into one.

Still a fun watch, the background of the monster and it's ability to do what it did was sort of not needed.

Saw it last night also & thought it was great. Brought back memories from when I was a kid & was blown away from E.T. & the Goonies.

Finally saw the movie with the wife. I loved it. Took me back to the movies I loved as a child (and still love).
