    Good GPS

Getting my mom a GPS for mothers day.

She won't want it to fancy. 4.3" screen, easy to use and updated maps and we're good to go.

These are two that caught my eye, the #1 and #3 best selling in my price range.

    Any recommendations?

I have an older garmin. As long as it has text-to-speech, you can't go wrong with garmin. my gf begged me to get her a Tom Tom.....now she wants to switch.

Can't go wrong with a Garmin Nuvi. We've had ours for 2-3 years now and love it.

          Yeah Garmin are good.

I've owned a Navman (crap), Garmin (quite good) and a Tom Tom (excellent) and the Tom Tom is the best but it was also the newest.

When i was looking to get a GPS late last year I originally went for a NavMan because they had a free maps for 3 years deal and it looked cool but after using it for a few hours i immediately went back and swapped it for the Tom Tom and haven't looked back. One of the best features is connecting via Bluetooth to your phone, and the voice recognition. I just tell it to call someone and it does a great job interpreting my voice and dialing the number without having to hardly take my hands off the wheel. I love the Tom Tom but it's a bit more expensive and the Garmin i had quite a few years ago was excellent and they get good reviews etc so you can't go wrong there either imo.
