I stumbled across this pretty intense 7-on-7, no pads tackle football league. They've got leagues in a few states and it looks pretty legit.

When I first saw it, I was thinking "oh, maybe I can play," but then I watched the videos... there's some BIG and FAST dudes that play. Too rough for me.

I am sorry, but you would have to be semi-******** to play full contact w/ no pads, Especially Adults.

Damn, the crazy thing is some of the Flag Football Leagues play similar to this crazy league.

              This.

I've played a couple games of tackle football here during college with no pads and each time I've left sorta banged up. I like the thrill of it but there's no way my body can take that punishment consistently.

Seems like there would be a penalty for tackling.

I would love to play this If I could. I love playing football more than any other sport and yeah It looks a little rough but, that is part of it. I always told kids If you don't want to take a chance in getting hurt then don't play. I never got hurt that much besides maybe twisting my ankle once while playing. I don't really see a problem with it and definitely don't see it as being crazy.

I've played back yard football plenty of times but, I haven't played in a while. This is basically the same thing just organized.

Trust me you just gotta get used to it. If you don't do it consistently you will be sore even If you don't take a hit. When your playing football your using different muscles and you definitely will feel something the next day regardless. That is how it was for me anyway until I got used to it and then It's smooth sailing from there unless you injure yourself or someone else does.

Would I do it? Maybe. If it were all people I knew and not random strangers who all got into it.

I assume everyone drinks a six-pack before stepping on the field for that.

What's the point? Just asking for injuries and an effed up body further down the line. Use your brain. There's being tough and then there's being stupid.

Yeah, I played 7 on 7 tackle football all the way through middle school and high school and for the 2 years afterwards. We played some serious games, all around too. Suburbs, city, wherever with whoever. This wasn't backyard football with your family, this was for keeps (especially when it was city v. suburbs ). But now everybody is too big. Amazingly, we never had to call an ambulance out to the field, but my knees are all torn up (and what has stopped me from playing -- forever). Great times, though, lots of awesome memories and a lot of fun. It was good to play football without all the coaches, rules, practices, etc. I just hope I don't regret it down the line.

The size of many of these dudes is about how big they got when I stopped playing. I played a scatback style, running around and past guys, so I never really took a big hit myself, but I wasn't afraid to take a guy on open field as a defender. I'm not big by any means, but I always held my own and then some. It really is crazy how I never got seriously injured with how much we played. Pretty much every weekend for 6 years. Lucky. This stuff really is dangerous, especially when you get the emotions going and people are really trying to hurt you. Usually came up on the good end of the stick in those cases. Just let my play do the talking. Officially retired.
