Would be good for a bedroom setup. Not sure how long these will last.

It's cheap because it's profile 1.1 Simply means it can't connect to the internet (so no netflix or automatic firmware updates)

It should play movies just fine and allows for the pop up menus.

I would have gotten one if I hadn't just bought (last night) a Insignia blu ray player that has wifi and can stream Pandora.

There are rumors that the Sony 360 will be marked down to $60 on clearance. Also that a Sylvannia blu ray player will be $44. Extremely YMMV

that particular player breaks dowm a lot. Walmart had those same players last year around Black Friday. The coolest and most reliable blu-ray players are the 2010 model LG, Vizio and Samsung. Not only can you stream netflix on it, but can also use flickr, pandora radio and slacker radio, along with youtube.
