New movie called Super 8..........

If this has been brought up then mods can close, but till then for those who don't know there is a trailer for an upcoming movie called Super 8. Now at first I assumed it was something corny coming out like that movie Zoom with Tim Allen. But after seeing who was involved with it( Cloverfield director J.J. Abrhams and Steven Speilburgh) I decided to inquire more about it and clicked on it. And I must say I was blown away. It wasn't much but it showed enough to peak my interest. What's strange is that people online claim it as a Cloverfield pre-quel. Though the trailer had what most would assume was big in that train that had to be super strong but If I'm not mistaken Wikipedia places that Cloverfield monster at 25 stories. And a train box car is what 1 story and about 15 to 25 feet long. What tripping me out the most guys is that what some you true trailer crackers call easter eggs. The also slowed the trailer down long enough to show that it seemed to be a large child busting out that boxcar. Also something that said the quote "Scariest thing I ever saw." I really really would like to see what you guys come up with....

Well, the monster from Cloverfield falls from the sky into the water, where it eventually merges (you see it in the background at the end of the movie), so I highly doubt it's a prequel. I did see this teaser trailer though, and I'm also intrigued as well.

I am also intrigued by the trailer, only thing that sucks is having to wait till 2011. I would love for some kind of Cloverfield sequel or prequel of sorts....except no shaky cam this time.

Damn you, Internet! Word spread yesterday that the trailer for a top-secret movie titled Super 8, which is set to debut with Friday's release of Iron Man 2, is actually a codename for Cloverfield 2. Alas, it's not true.

The New York Magazine column Vulture chatted with the film's producer, J.J. Abrams, who advised them Super 8 "has nothing whatsoever to do with Cloverfield, despite your expert reporting."

Super 8 reportedly revolves around some kids in the late '70s or '80s who notice an alien in some Super 8 movie footage they have developed.

I read several places saying that thing in the background at the end of CLoverfield
was in fact a satellite. I hate that these directors don't clarify everything.........

Spielberg though? That's an intriguing combo...Spielberg and Abrams.

To the OP....I'm not trying to be an English teacher, but maybe you'd like to know for future reference....you're interest is piqued...not peaked.
