Honestly, you can probably guess where this is going. Down. Fast. Invented in 1912 by German inventor Franz Reichelt, the parachute jacket had a high-profile unveiling when Reichelt wore one for a jump from the Eiffel Tower. It didn't deploy. Reichelt died.

Yeah total idiot.

From that list I can't stand Clippy. I must say I don't remember the Nintendo Virtual Boy at all. It was only on the market for 6 months so that might explain it.

Crocs is another that I hate. I will NEVER put one of those on my feet, EVER. They are so hideous. My wife and mother in law have about 25 pairs between them.

I was actually looking for something like this a few weeks ago. The Segway was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the title. I still remember all the hype on it and today, I've seen one kid on campus with one and a couple cops. Aside from that, they're nonexistent.

Oh god, the Virtual Boy. I never owned one but one of my friends did...it's better suited as a torture device than a game system.
Segway is pretty dumb, it's not even fast. I'd rather walk anyway.
Words can't describe my hatred for Farmville.

Quite a bit of those make no sense, how can something be a bad invention if it worked as it was supposed to and made a ton of money? Not to mention, some weren't even invented, like asbestos.

Anyway, I had to laugh at the Aztek, my brother rented one for a trip and when he got back he said it drove as bad as it looked.

Always reminds me of the 30 Rock episode when they try to redesign the microwave by making it bigger, adding four doors (to allot more food), and an AM/FM radio. Ultimately, Jack takes a look the computer design and comes to a sudden and unfortunate realization, “And it’s a car. . . We’ve invented the Pontiac Aztek”

I would throw in the Pet Rock on that list as well. Not that the guy wasn't a genius for thinking it up, but the thing's limited use versus the overall popularity and price point makes it a terrible invention (though again, Gary Dahl gets major props for sucking people into buying it).

I can say that I own/possess none of these items, including spam e-mail.

I too couldn't stand clippy. As if Microsoft Word/Excel didn't annoy me enough. Also, I did play a Virtua Boy demo once at Electronics Boutique and I had no idea what I was doing mainly because I couldn't see what I was doing. Also, I think the PT Cruiser is uglier than the Pontiac Aztek, especially when paneling is added.

I remember Clippy, I changed it to the Dog though. I remember at first I thought the dog was cute, reminding me about stuff at work and all..but then I grew to hate that dog. Everytime I would see his happy face come onto my screen I just wanted to smash my monitor. I eventually disabled him.

oh yeah, LOL, you're right about that, always pissed me off how he'd all be looking through his notes for something and then it'd come up with nothing found and I'd think, you've let me down once again fido...
