Electronical Malfunctionations

I was just sitting down, posting on Operation Sports and watching The 9/11 Conspiracies: Fact or Fiction on History when all of the sudden my TV turns off.

So I turn it back on.

Then like 5 minutes later it turns off again. And my internet connection goes away.

So I go to check the modem and it's fine, and I switch the location of my TV's plug from the power strip to the main outlet. It's only been about 3 minutes.

What may have happened/may still happen, I'm not much of an electrotechnician?

Well we do have skineMAX.

Maybe my TV wasn't a 9/11 Truther and tried to censor my programming. Now that Pawn Stars is on I'm not having the issue anymore.

If you say its fine after plugging the TV directly into the wall outlet, then it sounds like the power strip was going bad or something was tripping it.

Anyways, this story reminded me of something funny that happened a number of years ago and involved my TV turning itself on. I had gone to my aunt and uncles cabin for the weekend and since they don't have cable at the cabin, I'd set my TV/VCR to record the NASCAR race which was a Saturday night race at Daytona that weekend. Well, my mom had gone out with friiends that night and when she got home around midnight, she could hear my TV from my room so she went upstairs and the TV was on but of course my lights were off and I wasn't there since I was at my aunt and uncles cabin. Apparently my TV decided to turn itself on once the recording finished.
