I didn't mind the season, but the season finale was one of the best hour and twenty minute episodes of television I have ever seen. Seeing Ari's progression of emotions and actions in that episode were incredible, E's storyline made me incredibly happy for some reason, and Vince and Drama's portions were solid, and Drama's scenes were old-school Drama kind of comedy.

I'm hoping season 6 will be like season 5 for me; didn't enjoy it as much the first watch, but once I watch it two more times on DVD hopefully I'll find more strong episodes and enjoy it more.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and so you could just like The Shield more than The Wire. But in case you haven't seen The Wire, I would highly recommend it, as nothing tops it, not just in the cop show genre but in any genre.

        Re: Entourage Season 7 Thread

I guess this is a bad sign for season 6 but I really can't remember anything about it other than E got engaged and.... Uhhhhhh..... That's about it.

I too am hoping that this is it's last season, although I doubt it. No matter what, I'll still watch every episode, like I've done in the past. I fully understand what the show is, and that's what I loved about it in the beginning. But I guess as I watched it more, I saw that their was potential maybe to go a little deeper with the characters instead of the typical archetypes that they've painted on the canvas.

Anyway, I imagine this year will at least set the wheels in motion for this show to wrap up. Hopefully it'll be good. No way can they play the Vince's career is crashing again card, so I suppose it'll be all roses...?

I haven't watched my Entourage dvd's in awhile but I think I'm going to start from season 1 and watch it all the way through.

I don't understand why people hope that the show ends. If you don't want to watch it then don't watch.

Yeah, comedies and light dramas can really go on forever because if there are only 3-4 good episodes a season, that's still 3-4 more good episodes than you had before.

With story based shows like The Wire, The Shield, and Lost, I could see a point where later seasons would become unbearable and detrimental to the earlier seasons, but those shows are far more likely to get canceled early than wear out their welcome.

I've never understood that either. I know nip/tuck fans kept wanting the show to end because they felt it got ridiculous (and it did) but I was hoping it would keep going on and on and the last few seasons, while crazy, were pretty fun. I'm glad that show didn't end when fans started asking for it to end or I'd have missed out on some really fun eps.

                  100% agree with that.

I can't wait for the new season to start. Good idea on watching from the beginning, I think I'll start that this weekend.

For anyone that has the DVDs, the commentaries on seasons 3B, 4 and 5 are pretty funny. The actors/directors give away some interesting tidbits about filming, injuries that occured during filming, where certain shots were filmed, etc.

This should be...interesting. Vince with a porn-star girlfriend.

I dunno, for me, it feels like I've grown attached, to a certain extent, to these characters.

I'd rather the show end then continue to meander and continue to lead these guys' story in to the same been there done that stuff they've been doing.

Don't mess up what I liked about the show and make me frustrated with it, just let me remember the show being funny/entertaining instead of predictable/repetitive.

Now... If season 7 was kick ***, I'd be down for the series staying on as long as it's strong. I just don't feel like their has been a strong season in a hot minute.

At this point, I'm too far in to just give up watching. No matter how enjoyable or frustrating the journey is to get there.

Well that's your issue, not a problem with the show. If it went on for too long I don't see how that changes the seasons that you enjoyed.

I'm not sure it's worth going back and forth with you on this, so.... Entourage is awesome. Go for 7 more seasons. yay

Just finished re-watching season 6. Pumped for the new season, I really have no idea what they are going to do, which is why I'm excited I think.

hmm...still three weeks to the season, maybe I re-watched a bit prematurely.

Also, I think that HBO will promote the last season as the last season, so as right as it may feel (I think character wise it HAS to be close to the end), HBO will be sure use the last season as a promotion for the show.
