I doubt that happens but it would be something interesting to see IMO. I'm still annoyed the season is already over but the good news is it lead almost right into Season 5 of Dexter.
now that is a great show

      Why?
Because HBO airs it like 10 times every Sunday and it's on shortly after True Blood, and it's only 25 minutes long. So I'll watch it in between watching other stuff, what else is there to do Sunday night after 10? I don't quite hate the show as much as I hate reality TV, now if we were discussing a reality TV show, you wouldn't even see me in the thread, as I refuse to ever watch one. Entourage, I'll watch, but you'll never hear me call it a good show. It is an average show, and gets insanely overrated by people. It's really HBO's weakest show.
At the same time, this was a 25 minute dramedy on HBO. You can't really expect Sopranos/Mad Men/Wire style writing for this kind of show. Although it would have been nice.
It's billed as an inside look at Hollywood, authentic. I don't buy it as that at all. Unless you think Martin Scorcese hires actors based off of junk footage from a movie that doesn't exist.

It's billed as an authentic inside look at Hollywood? By who?

It is what it is. It's not 'good', most of the acting is terrible, but it's entertaining enough if you don't take it too seriously. Complaining about the realism of Scorcese's casting techniques would classify as taking it too seriously.

By everybody who has anything to do with the show.

You're supposed to take the show seriously. It isn't a comedy half as much as it is a drama about 4 friends. Unless you laugh at some really unfunny crap.

If this show were done by the right people, it could have been really special.

            Re: Entourage Season 7 Thread

The was by far my least favorite season for several reasons.

I don't get the divorce coming out of nowhere for Arie for one. Yes he is brash and sometimes puts work before his family, but in the end you can tell he cares about them. Like the one episode where he had to beg to get his kid into that private school. He never cheated on his wife and although they went to counseling, things worked out in the end.

Another thing I didn't like was how they made Vince turn into a total jackass. I understand that drug are a part of Hollywood, but I think his character is ruined. The boys aren't going to be able to party like the did in the past now and Vince won't be that carefree fun guy anymore. Recovery (if he gets through it) will change him and the heart of the show. Gone will be the spur of the moment trips to Vegas and the other random parties they all went to. I know they are growing up but this sudden development ruined the premise of the show.

Lastly, comedy was lacking in season 7. This season had the least amount of laugh out loud lines and scenes. If they are going in a more serious direction (which it seems they are) I think it's a mistake. I like serious situations but this show is based on laughs surrounding the character study of friends. I think the humor mainly went away.

I didn't hate everything about this season however. Scott Cann's character was a nice addition and I do think the side story of he and E taking down Murray is interesting. The new blood vs the old is a good concept.

All in all I still enjoy the show, but the first 4 seasons were golden. I hate to say it but this series took a bit of a dive this year and I don't know if it can be brought back considering the issues Vince currently has.

Gave up on the show for a few seasons but this season was the best out of all of them. Finally they figured out what to do with Vince.

Loved the finale, I was curious how they were going to handle Vince's moment where he goes off the deep end, and I thought it was very well done. Can't wait for the last season. This was one of the better seasons IMO, and a cliffhanger of an ending setting up the final, shortened season.

Its going to be interesting to see what they focus on in the 8th season. We already have a significant list of things that need/will be resolved and carried over from the end of this season.

I know a ton of people who watch Entourage and not a single one of them "takes the show seriously."

It's a comedy show about four people living in Hollywood.

There's one comedic element to the show. Ari Gold. The four main characters aren't the slightest bit funny, while most of their storylines aren't meant to be. I don't see how that equals comedy.

Tequila Avion, which has been featured heavily this entire season of Entourage, is set to make its debut in real liquor stores.

The brand launched in New York and L.A. over the summer, with plans to expand over time. Tequila Avion was created by Ken Austin and Kenny Dichter, the guys behind Marquis Jet. Dichter is a close friend of Entourage creator Dough Ellin.
There's an eyeopener. The whole tequila storyline was essentially just one big commercial and nothing more.

Maybe you should listen to the commentaries on the DVDs and listen to Ellin and the guys talk about the show.

It's a comedy with dramatic elements. It's basically Sex and the City for guys.

I've truthfully never heard anyone, related to the show or fan alike, refer to this show as a drama. It's a comedy first and foremost that has some semi-dramatic storylines that they usually resolve in a comedic way or surround by a comedic situation and setting.

Seriously, I am shocked that anyone would EVER think to take this show seriously. While most things are based on facts/inspired by events that happened in Hollywood, they take liberties with just about everything.

I pretty much only watch it because I have invested so much time into it.

The storylines have always been a little out there but hey it's Hollywood.
