Mine's fairly simple since I share a townhome with someone who isn't an electronics kind of person. Due to that, I have to keep all of my stuff in my bedroom and keep the 50" Sony HDTV at the parent's house in storage. But anyway..
-32" Samsung HDTV
-XBox 360.
-Comcast DVR
-Bower & Wilkins front(2), surround(2), and center center channel speakers(12" Bower & Wilkins subwoofer is the next addition) all with a mahogany finish including the future sub
-Panasonic 7.1 receiver with HDMI, Digital Output, etc.
-Panasonic Blu-Ray player
The one good thing about having my setup in my bedroom and not in the living room is when I play CD's on the Blu-Ray, the sound is amazing and the bass is incredible. Bower & Wilkins speakers do such an incredible job of creating a natural bass. Some systems create a loud bass that overshadows the actual music. I hate that ish.
We did this in my college apartment my sophomore and junior years. We measured the projector at 125 inches, corner-to-corner. It wasn't a great projector, and it was kind of old, but it did the trick. For special occasions (i.e. Super Bowl party) we'd rent an HD projector from the school and say we needed it for class. It was sweet. It didn't get as big as the older projector, but the picture was so clean and sharp. Just amazing.

No pictures at the moment but my bedroom/dormroom gaming setup consists of:
26" Vizio HD TV
PS3 hooked up via HDMI
For sound i've got Tritton AXPro's
And yeah thats it, i haven't got to a point in life where I can afford to throw money at gaming yet (still in college) so i'm making the best out of what I got.
Piecing your own surround system is the way to go. The all in one box things is crap. They would give you a powerful receiver but the speakers they give you max out at 15 or 30 watts.
Here's my setup:
Samsung ln46a550 46"
Denon receiver 2310
2 TSC 6.5" Bookshelf speakers
TSC Center channel
2 TSC 6.5" Bookshelf surround speakers
1000 watt Acoustech pl-200 Sub
Xbox 360
PS3 slim
HD Direct TV box
I need to hide the wires coming from the TV to the reciever.
32" 1080p Samsung
Onkyo 606 receiver
Elite 360
80 gb PS3
I have all the speakers plus subwoofer that I need for surround sound but I've been too lazy to hook them up. I've had them for about 7 months and still haven't done anything :-(

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I have those same speakers. Where did you get your stands from?

I bought them from Amazon, (Ominmount). They were $89 per pair, but I caught them on sale for $55 per pair. They're pretty good. I'll be getting rid of them soon since I'm buying floor speakers.
