Re: **Post Your Gaming Setup Thread**

My living room is far too messy to take a pic now, but I'll clean up a bit soon (meaning sometime between today and November) and post it later. I'll go ahead and post my specs now so I can just quote later:

      40" Samsung Series 7 LCD TV (1080p)
      250 GB Xbox 360 (MW2 edition)
      250 GB PS3 Slim
      Nintendo Wii
      AT&T U-verse residential gateway/DVR
      Onkyo 5.1 surround receiver
Two "old school" 15" Fisher speakers
      Random other speakers

I'm looking to upgrade my TV soon (looking at a 55" LED) and also want to bump up my surround sound to 7.1 since all I watch are Blu-ray movies (over 100 and counting in the collection thus far) anyway.

I have all the speakers plus subwoofer that I need for surround sound but I've been too lazy to hook them up. I've had them for about 7 months and still haven't done anything :-(

Man I don't see how you managed that. Whenever I get new toys, everything stops until I play with em'. 7 months? I wouldn't last 7 minutes after the boxes arrived.

You can drill a hole in the wall or you can get those things that hide cords. Since I owed my house and not renting. I am going to drill a little hole in the wall behind the TV then another hole behind my TV stand and then run the cords through the hole.

I'm the same way. As soon as I receive the stuff I won't eat till it's all put together.

I don't know how I managed it either. I was all excited to hook them up but I got busy and eventually it led to me never hooking them up.

So you have a receiver and no speakers hooked up to it?

jmood needs to be slapped LOL. Seriosuly 7 months ?????? Unless you were deployed overseas or in the hospital, I can't see how it is humanly possible to walk pass stuff not hooked up that you know you bought.

I mean what if something is wrong with it ? You been went passed the 90 day window where you could return it to the store. That is one of the reasons why I always test my stuff out as soon as I get it, so if it is not up to snuff, I will return it pronto.

Mood, how the hell do you keep that Onkyo cool? I had the same receiver, but would get so hot, you can fry eggs on it.

It's just been on standby since I got it lol. I'm going to get some shelves or something to keep it ventilated cause there's no way it would stay cool where I have it.
