Verizon iPhone???

So after playing with this iPod touch I'm sure I'd like to have an iPhone. I know there are rumors about Apple releasing the thing to be used by other carriers. Any word on this?

As far as I know there are no plans for a Verizon iphone right now.

The closest thing I think Verizon has to an iPhone is the HTC Incredible.

Technically apple and at&t contract supposely ended in the beginning of the year or something like that. And supposely Apple is going to ship their iphone to other carriers one at a time, with Verizon being 1st, then Tmobile. Rumour is Verizon Iphone suppose to come out before the end of the year.

Verizon is releasing 3 phones this summer and about 7 timesthat many in the fall right before the christmas season begins. Last I heard Verizon's CEO said they were releasing 20 to 25 handsets before 2010 ends, with 5 of those handsets being smartphones.

Technically apple and at&t contract supposely ended in the beginning of the year or something like that. And supposely Apple is going to ship their iphone to other carriers one at a time, with Verizon being 1st, then Tmobile. Rumour is Verizon Iphone suppose to come out before the end of the year.

Having used an iphone, droid incredible and a motorola droid I would unequivocally put the iphone 3rd on that list.

I am getting a iphone in about 2 months. I will still keep my at&t account. I have had not one problem from them.

If the iPhone goes to any other carrier, AT&T can kiss a lot of their customers goodbye. I'm definitely one of them and have to say that they overcharge for what they under deliver.

there's always rumors about verizon though, so the demand is there. It's just that Apple likely doesn't want to make different models of the phone for different networks.

The newer LTE network would allow apple to provide the same phone to different carriers, so I don't see them coming to verizon until that gets up and going. Even when Verizon goes LTE, they'll still have to provide hybrid CDMA/LTE phones for a while, until they get the new network up to size.

So when is this new network supposed to begin to get going? I'd definitely go month-to-month once my contract is up just to wait out an iPhone. Lol
