Funny story...well funny to me, I did a symposium about a "reality" documentary made in 1962 about paul anka called "Lonely Boy" basically it showed him on on tour in 1961 at Atlantic City and on Long Island, NY.

Anyway I did the symposium in college right after I graduated they called me back and it was all about 1962 because it had some meaning to the university and by chance I got this move assigned to me...and by chance I knew a lot about Paul Anka. It tuned out to be a bunch of college film buffs staring back at me with this "get on with it attitude" as I explained the time period where the Paul Anka's and the Frankie Avalon's and Fabian's came about as the originals all moved on "Elvis to the army, Buddy Holly plane crash, Jerry Lee married his cousin, little richard found god, etc"

In any case I ask the audience does anyone know Paul Anka...nothing...I say "well he's the justin Beiber" of 1961 and everyone goes "ohhhh ok..." then the movie starts I sit down and say wtf...

He also wrote THE Frank Sinatra songs to end Sinatra songs with "My Way".

Which is kinda interesting because Sinatra was the Justin Bieber of HIS day what with his bobby soxers fainting all over Radio City Music Hall etc etc.

I was listening to this song on my way home several days ago (yeah, the nostalgic radio station is my #1 option). I heard this song and couldn't find it when I got home. So I emailed the station and the guy who was playing it actually replied today and answered my question.

This is the song...I just love the trumpets (the brass), I think it sounds great!

One of my favorite songs that Dean Martin sang...
