I'm going with a Dell. I am not going into any media or anything like that, I'm going in for nursing. It's either a $600-800 (tops) for a Dell or a $1,600 (minimum for the one I want with Mac) for Apple. I don't have the wiggle room for that yet and since I'm already getting the iPhone 4G when it re-stocks, I think I'd rather get a Dell.
Not sure which good laptops there are but I'm leaning towards a 15". I was watching Supernatural (which got me thinking about this anyways) and saw these screenshots. Now I don't know what you guys know about Dell but I'd just like to know which model this is in these pics lol:
Anyways... yeah, not going with a Mac anymore. Maybe down the line I will, but not now. Not for college. And not with my budget. So I'm looking for Dell laptop suggestions and what not.
I'd also like to throw in... I looked at HP laptops but didn't like their design. I mean I still care about design a little bit and wasn't blown away by anything of HP. Toshiba and ASUS I haven't really looked at... but when I speak to the regular 'tech' guys that I know they just seem to go to Dell when we talk durability and reliability.
Still not 100% sure, but I'm more sure on a Dell now than I was with Apple a few days ago (good thing my mom held off on me ordering that MBP!)
