Wow this phone only been out 3 weeks and they killing off the line already ? Damn didn't think their sales would be that bad, but apparently it was. To me the phone looked ugly and too small for my taste anyway. But I thought it would sell good among teens.

Oh man where I live they run the kin commerical at least 10 times a day everyday. They have like 2 or 3 different commercials for it. However that being said, I never seen anybody in person with a Kin either though. Everybody I see either has an iphone 3gs, Moto Droid, Moto Cliq, Blackberry or just a regular flip phone.Comment

This phone line is exactly what has been wrong with Microsoft's mobile division for the past half decade.
It's almost infuriating how stupid these line of phones were. When they first came out, you needed to pay $100 for the higher tier device, and also need to pay the $30 monthly data plan. All for a phone that has a crappy browser, has zero applications that can help the OS, ridiculously outdated internals, incredibly unattractive interface, and purely archaic looking phone hardware.

Are these the commercials where they have the girl meeting her online social network? If so, its no wonder the phone didn't sell. All they emphasized was this ridiculous journey of this girl meeting her random online friends. Its hilarious to watch and I never realized it was a commercial for a phone until now.

Damn MS is sad sometimes. It may have worked if it were properly priced, but it was insane to expect many people to pay for a dumbphone at a smartphone price. Or even push this while working on 7...Comment

Yeah I was a little confused with what Microsoft was trying to do with this phone, and the timing was odd, especially with Windows 7 phone this fall, which looks very good.Comment
