Exactly, there are people I know that have not even heard of the Hurt Locker to this day, pirating had very little to do with this movie's box office failure. Winning an Oscar and doing well at the box office aren't mutually exclusive, something the producers of the Hurt Locker fail to realize.

Well, at least one of the piracy sites that took down is already back up and running under a slightly different URL.

The problem is sites that host this stuff, not the sites that link to it.

Yeah trying to eliminate piracy is like trying to eliminate drugs, not ever going to happen as long as there is a consumer. Close down one, another one will just pop up.

Piracy is never going to go away, but it seems everytime the industries come up with a way to fight it (really strict DRM schemes), it just goes to way of encouraging more of it.

No. The thing about war on drugs and war on piracy is that law enforcement aren't targeting the source of the problem. The source of the problem aren't drug dealers and bootlegers. The source of the problem are consumers.

Until you change the mindset of consumers, bootlegers, drug dealers and hookers will always be around. If there was no demand for it, those people won't have a business.

Charging $2.50 for a gallon of gas is pathetic, too. That's why I drive off after filling up without paying. Charging $1.00 for a cheeseburger at McDonald's is pathetic. I just grab that **** and run. My rent is way too high and probably hurting profits for my complex owner anyway. So I won't pay it.

Since when do you get to decide when the price is too high?? Talk about pathetic.

Uhm, consumers have ALWAYS decided when the price is to high. Take an economics class.
