    Best T-Mobile Android Phone

Started this thinking on the Blackberry thread. I might make the switch from BB tonight. Any help would be appreciated.

T-mobile on the verge of going out of business. I wouldn't sign a new 2 year contract with them if I was you.

No it's Windows Mobile, and Windows Mobile 6.5 sucks. I got the myTouch 3G Slide and love it. That or do the Motorola Cliq. But I've used both and like the Slide so much more. Also the new Samsung one should be pretty slick, it has a 1 GHZ processor which will be important when Android 3.0 comes out this fall. Also has a nice camera. I haven't read too much about it, but it looks like it'll be worth checking out before you make a decision. I LOVE my myTouch Slide though.

thanks for the input everybody-picked up the MyTouch Slide last night for $354.99 before sales tax.

Wow-didn't know these Android phones had BarCode readers.

EDIT-definitely need a car charger for this one-picking one up today.

return it and get the Galaxy S/Vibrant. Pretty good review on Engadget. I'm about to pay my term fee with TMO and get an Evo. Got married last week and the wife is a 10 year Sprint customer. She won't leave and we're consolidating stuff.

I was thinking about it, but on the BlackBerry forum Thrasha said that Samsung (makers of the Vibrant) aren't the best about updating their phones to the current version of Android. He also said that Bing has been made the default search engine (on a Google powered phone). That makes me pause a bit, even if it appears as an easy workaround.

Still not out of the question, considering the rumored off contract price of the Vibrant is $330. There are FOUR reasons I'm still leaning toward keeping the MyTouch Slide:

                            (1) I like the phone a lot.
                            (2) I've already purchased a $25 case and a $25 car charger, but the rumored $330 off contract price would be $25 cheaper than the price I paid for the My Touch ($355)
                            (3) Default Bing and Samsung Android updates.
                            (4) The Slide's great physical keyboard.

The Mytouch slide isn't bad, my little brother has it and loves it. It is running android 2.1 as well and has 7 screens. Its pretty fast for the most part and has a nice Keyboard, definitely not a bad choice
