    Sending cable TV wirelessly?

Alright so I just moved to a new apartment and there is one coaxial thing to receive cable. I have one TV and my internet modem hooked up to that port through a splitter.

Now, I want to put my other TV in my room but the property manager told Charter they couldn't install any new inputs. Sooo I started searching for solutions and I dont really want to run a long cable cord around the house because im in college and drink alot so I can imagine something bad happening with tripping over a cord lol.

    So I found this thing:

But im worried because I have a feeling that with that I'll have to watch the same channel in both rooms. So what do you guys suggest? Thank you!

Tell the installer to get some flat cable. I can't believe the installer didn't mention it. All you have to do is run the wire outside, use the flat cable to go into the house through a window, and then just run it along the baseboard or under it.

From what I saw a while ago, flat cable doesn't come in longer strings and what it does come in is expensive b/c it's a specialty, but maybe things have changed. And hell, if you're not paying for it...... get the 500 ft spool!!

Thing you linked will have the same channel as the other tv.

Is the other tv an HDTV? If so, you can hook up an antenna to it and receive HD channels over the air. This is assuming you are close enough to get good signals.

          Yeah they're both HDTV's.

Called the cable people about the flat cable and they said they would have to contact the installer in our area and that there maybe an additional fee.

Seems like they would want to do it as a courtesy. They are gonna charge you money for the install in order to charge you extra money.

As long as you have it hooked up to a splitter u have no trouble watching different channels on each tv. The only thing is that picture will probably be worse and u might not be able to pick up free hd ota channels.

Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
              Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
              Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

I know someone that uses the wireless TV hardware. He bought it at Best Buy and says it works pretty well. He is transmitting from upstairs into his basement downstairs.

How can you be watching 2 different channels coming from 1 box?

You connect the spitter before the box.

There is a reason you have a box, the signal is encoded/scrambled. Now if it isn't and it isn't digital, then you can just split it but I don't think that is the case.

Yea I can do that butnas stated before I just don't want the wires running everywhere. I'm not very good at pulling up baseboards and running stuff under carpet.
