March 25th according to the poster in this thread.

Didn't even realize it was already coming out this month.

                Movie was...I'm not really sure.

I was never really bored with it, but at the same time I feel kind of let down.

Saw an interview ealier in the week. Said he made it PG-13 because he wanted people to focus on the story/characters instead of the violence and stuff. It was something like that anyway.

I ran around all day trying to find the soundtrack and it's not even out until tuesday.

It was because Snyder wanted young girls to see the movie and they also cut out a sex scene between Jon Hamm and the main character (supposedly not that good so don't get disappointed ) to keep it PG.

Yeah the soundtrack was really good.

The story was decent, but if the reason for downplaying the action was to focus on the story then that was a purely asinine move. It seems the hype around this movie centered around hot girls in skimpy clothes kicking a**, they certainly played that part up in the previews. The actual movie though was probably something like 60-40 real life-fantasy and the fantasy scenes were kind of anti-climatic.

The movie would have been much better had it tried to focus on either the serious aspect or the fantasy one. The result was a hybrid that was less like Pan's Labrynth and more like a movie that didn't know what it wanted to be.

Just like with Tron, the story was stupid as hell but it was a great looking movie with good action and the best collection of girls I've seen in awhile so I'll be buying it when it comes out on Blu-Ray. Also, Zack Snyder needs to either take some writing classes or just stick to directing. He's still one of my favorite directors but man, that dialogue was horrible and the ending voice over sounded like someone reading their ****ty poetry at an open mic night in a coffee shop.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                          Re: Sucker Punch

First i have to start by saying the Soundtrack to this movie was AWESOME

Now on the movie itself....it sort of tried too hard to tell an interesting story. The main story was very sort of simple, maybe too simple for its own good. The beginning of the movie was very well done and the music really added to the atmosphere.

Now the actual action and cinematography were awesome. The scenes were very well coordinated and the look and color of them was vibrant, definitely where Snyder excels. Here also comes some very interesting decisions; each action scene was soo different from the prior one is was very hard to make a connection.

The segment where their fighting the dragon, they're fighting the dragon in mid-evil times yet their flying a plane and using gatling guns. The settings in which the action scenes took place were sort of out of place. But the pure action from those scene were definitely fun to watch.

The saving grace of this movie lies in the fact that the actresses were actually pretty good. It just sucks that half the time they had to exhibit P.M.S. but they did a good job with the script they were giving.

Humm Snyder is doing Superman, so far all of his movies have a very dark look to them, their color hues are all browns and blacks, i'm hoping he adds color to Superman. The one downfall of Sucker-Punch was the lack of a true defining story and finding out Synder wrote the script and story, i'm hoping someone else writes Superman and he only uses his expertise in cinematographic

Great looking movie and excellent soundtrack. Quite an experience to watch it in IMAX. The story was sort of all over the place though and the movie seemed to lose some steam halfway through. Still a fun movie to watch though and one I would watch again just to hear the soundtrack and the battle scenes.

I agree the lack of sequential flow with the action scenes was a bit of a problem.

Interestingly enough I just found that Emily Browning was the one behind the "Sweet dreams are made of this" song in the movie. I really like it.

I think Chris Nolan's brother or David Goyer are writing Superman. Not sure though.
