Me and my friend Mitch have differing opinions on Flying Lotus. Mitch says that he's the most progressive DJ out there and that Cosmogramma is one of the most impressive LPs of the year. I say that, yes, Flying Lotus is incredibly progressive, and Cosmogramma is very good, but it sometimes falls into sound-for-sound's sake -- moments of it are too busy, too cluttered, and ultimately drag Cosmogramma down. But when Flying Lotus is good, he's amazing. For instance, Drips//Auntie's Harp is just stunning:

he also gives one of the best live shows for a DJ out there (DJ shows are inherently pretty boring to watch, though). I tried to find some video of his set at Sonar this year, I have a rip of it off the BBC and it's amazing, but there's no high-quality video of it. This video of part of his set at Coachella has better sound-quality, but the set isn't as good.

Reliving the music you listened to in high school is fun. I might have to hit some My Chemical Romance after this. I don't listen to either band much anymore, but it's nice to take a trip down memory lane every now and then.

I've been listening to Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Band, Led Zep, The Beatles, Johnny Cash like crazy recently. I just woke up one day and started listening and now I can't stop. I love it!

Black Keys are great too BTW...
