They played in Charlottesville about a month ago. Great show, basically just one song right after another.

The new Kings Of Leon...man how this group has changed over time. The new cd is entirely too mellow for me. Gone are the upbeat groovers like "Taper Jean Girl". Not sure I'm gonna buy this one. Check it out here:

Great band. And their last album was very solid, imo. The single Written in Reverse is a great song, and the rest of the album holds up nicely.

Saw those guys a few years back in New Orleans. They were really late getting to the show, but man did they make up for it. You're right, complete face meltage.

Didn't realize that they had it in 'em from just listening to their records. They tore through a 30 or so song set and just completely blew everyone away. One of the best acts I've ever seen live. Dude is killer with the guitar too... I haven't seen too many guys rock the guitar slide like Jack White. Like I said, I didn't know they had it in 'em, but he can shred with the best.
