Listened to today:

Ha Ha Tonka - Novel Sounds of the Nouveau South
One of the better Americana bands currently. The album does a great job at finding beauty in tragedy and the harmonies in this band are superb. Also some intelligent lyrics.

Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Best album of the 90s. Count it.

The Kills - Blood Pressures
I really dug the first listen. Its very modern bluesy - kind of the opposite of the Black Keys, but still the quality is comparable.

Exene Cervenka - The Excitement of Maybe
I wasn't sure what to expect since all I had listened to of Exene was in X, but surprisingly the pulls off the acoustic rockabilly/country-rock really well. First listen was good.
