Been on a huge Trivium kick, all the songs they have put out from the new album sound great, can't wait for the actual CD release for better quality versions than the radio rips.

Also been on a huge Staind kick, they seem to have gone back to Dysfunction era style vocal and attitude in the songs.

Thank god for this. They were great on that disc and even Break The Cycle, though it was the beginning of the change. I'm happy the old Staind is back more or less.

Last night I watched The Black Keys Live, which is a 2005 DVD from their Rubber Factory tour. I've always enjoyed Dan's guitar style, very dirty-country blues and he finds a nice groove in his licks and riffs. Plus I always like watching a guy play guitar with just his fingers and no picks (though I think I caught sight of a finger-pick). As much as I enjoyed Dan's performance, Patrick stole the stage. He is pounding on that drum-kit with no restraint. Dude looked like a caged animal trying to tear down his cage.

I figured out the riff from Girl Is On My Mind, so that's a bonus feature.
