    Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

Who all has been listening to the new album? Thoughts?

I think I'm digging it more as a whole than Neon Bible, though I think Neon Bible had some slightly stronger songs. The album a weird mix of optimism and melancholy, but I'm digging it. For some reason this album reminds me of new-wave 80s pop, not sure what it is - maybe the vocals or the keys.

Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) is amazing.

I'm loving it. I've been a big Arcade Fire fan since Funeral and despite my belief that everything they do is gold I had doubts if they could keep it up but this album rocks. Half Light I and II are great as well. Really regretting not getting a ticket to see them in Paris last month. There is always the Reading Festival which they are headlining on the Saturday...

Don't ever pass up a chance to see them play, probably the best live band I've seen, they put on a great show.

Really impressed with the album, a very different sound for them, Neon Bible was based around a handful of arena-rock tracks, Funeral was a mix, but they totally ditch them on The Suburbs. It is an instant contender for Album of the Year for me. I enjoy just about every track on the album, which is impressive considering it has 16 of them.
