Thought I'd dig this one up to share this.

In the middle of a wonderful game of 2K11.
In the bottom of the 7th just had Burrell pinch hit for a double,Rowand pinch run and Torres with a double to get him home to go up 2-1. Then...the computer resets for an update.

I changed it to "download updates but let me choose when to install them" so hopefully that will prevent future incidents.

Always the first thing I disable in every piece of software that touches one of my machines.

Yeah I know, but the issue is the lost data when I was doing something in them and the CPU shut down for me and restarted on its own.

And I agree about Adobe, that thing updates like twice a week or something, its ridiculous. How could PDF files change that much every week???

Same. I always customize and check out the options when I install a program, application, etc. It's amazing seeing my girlfriend just go default and let the companies that make these programs and the like decide for her. It's their product, they're going to try to keep you using it as much as possible no matter if that's the best or most convienent option.

I'm far from a techie, but I guess I just want to know what's doing what before I just let it do it's own thing.
