I have the Linksys Wireless N and have had ZERO issues with it.

My roommate hasn't had any issues either, and he's upstairs and on the opposite side of the house.

        Re: Router suggestions

I have the Linksys E3000 dual band 5hz router. Works wonders.......I can get a strong signal up to 2 acres away. Router cost $180.

The thing I like about it is unlike most dual band routers, this router broadcasts in 2.4ghz and 5ghz at the same time. Where as most dual bands only broadcasts in one band at a time.

5ghz is not all that though. It has limited range, like 40 ft, no lie. However it is fast as hell though. So in order to use the 5ghz band the router has to be in the same room or no further then a room away . 5ghz can't penetrate too many walls that is for damn sure.

However the 2.4ghz band on this router is off the meter.......it can broadcast FARRRRRRRRRRRRR. 2 acres away I was still getting 60 db strength.

Currently I have about 10 things hooked up to it wirelessly. Can hook up to 20 or 25 things to it wirelessly. On my laptop my speed is 300mbps wirelessly. I get no lag at all on Xbox Live wirelessly.

But hey you don't have to spend a lot of money on a router. For my needs I did because I do more then your average person. Really just a regular $70 N router would do 90% of people just fine.

does anyone have a recommendation for a wired router. my Netgear sometimes has a habit of having the signal go out and I have to restart it.

I'm now debating between the Cisco Linksys Wireless N E2000 and the Netgear Wireless N. I'm leaning towards the Netgear since it's a bit cheaper, and I'm only linking up 1 computer and a PS3. Thanks for everybodies input.
