So before it's recyled into a more useful wastebasket I'd like to save my Firefox bookmarks onto a USB drive and load them up later but I can't seem to find them anywhere in the Firefox folder. I figure I can't save all my saved passwords but I must be able to transfer bookmarks at least.

Is it possible to save bookmarks?
This computer is about ready for the scrap heap with it's amazing 191.5mb of RAM,top of the line 2004 VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP videocard (the hell is that anyway?) with a WHOLE 64mb video memory, super spacious 80 gig hard drive and awesome single core AMD 3000 processor that takes the entire CPU to watch a video on youtube (because that's just so demanding) with a lovely SD moniter!

Re: Is it possible to save bookmarks?
As for a practical solution, if you don't have like hundreds of bookmarks you can always visit each site, copy and paste them into an e-mail which you send to yourself, and revisit them on the new computer so you can add them as bookmarks.
I'll see if Google Chrome allows you to somehow export your bookmarks as files.

Re: Is it possible to save bookmarks?
Yes that is plan B. Actually put them on notepad and then transfer that but I do have about 100 bookmarks. Don't need them all and I'm sure some sites are dead but it'd still be good to move them all. Opera doesn't have option either by the looks of it.Comment

If you use Chrome all you have to do is turn on sync in the options menu. It saves your bookmarks to your Google account so whenever you log into Chrome on any computer with your GMail it will have your bookmarks saved.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
