Spike Lee's: If God is Willing & Da Creek Don't Rise...

Anyone watch this yet? I think it first aired over the weekend. Wife and I watched Part 1 Sunday, and I watched Part 2 yesterday afternoon.

Sad...sad....SAD story. I really feel for all those who have suffered and continue to suffer in the wake of Katrina/BP disasters.

Needless to say...I will never buy a gallon of BP gas again. I will walk for 10+ miles to the nearest non-BP gas station should that ever occur. That company is filth.

You do know BP owns DOZENS of gas stations that aren't named BP right ?????? So that is going to be kind of hard to do.

Not to mention that BP stations are just locally owned franchises and don't necessarily even use BP gas, just gas with BP additives. That's not to mention all the plastics and rubber that have a good chance of containing BP oil.

Yes, you would actually have to a good bit of research to truly avoid BP.

I too would like to know how good this movie/documentary is.

I would expect it to be biased and thus not worth my time, but if it isn't then I'd like to watch it.

There really isnt anything to be biased about. Its a straight forward telling of the aftereffects of Katrina.

Considering it shows footage of locals and rallies, of course it's going to be pretty passionately opposed to BP and what has happened with the Gulf. You would probably be extremely bitter about the aftermath of Katrina if you lived in that area as well.

I don't know how you could make it any other way while displaying the locals.

LOL @ Biased. Any blame given to BP/Feds concerning Katrina/BP Oil Spill is 99.9% rightfully placed. You need to watch this doc...

Well there you go, it's unbiased because the documentary says so.
