Re: Piranha 3D Producer Rips James Cameron
To much to read, but the 3D aspect of Pirahna is HORRIBLE. The credits at the beginning aren't even readable.
I love 3D movies, but Cameron was right in saying that movies like this are what give 3D a bad name. I can understand why he is frustrated.
I don't blame the producer for writing all of this out though. -

I think he raises a lot of valid points and his reasoning for backing up Piranha 3D are the exact reasons why I am interested in seeing this film. His knocks on Cameron/Avatar are definitely valid.

I saw piranha 3d.
I also saw it the way it was intended. Slightly inebriated.
It was fun. Not good by any means, but fun.Charger Fan Born and Raised!

Re: Piranha 3D Producer Rips James Cameron
I seriously doubt B horror movies like Pirahna 3D will ring the death knell for 3D. I saw Toy Story 3 in 3D with my kid and I didn't even notice the 3D effects because it was so inconsequential and unnecessary for the movie. I would much rather watch the 2D version with a brighter picture and more vibrant colors. Wearing the glasses and paying a premium price for the movie (especially when you have no choice as there was no 2d option at the theater) annoyed me even more.
Cameron is such a egomaniac he wants to be known as the guy who singlehandedly forever changed the way we watched movies when he fails to realize this latest fad of 3D is like all the previous fads with 3d. It's trendy for awhile but everyone gets sick of it when they realize it takes away from a movie rather than adding to it.Comment

Re: Piranha 3D Producer Rips James Cameron
I haven’t seen this movie but gather that it experience would be similar to watching “snakes on a plane.” You know going in that you are about to be subjected to cinematic foolishness, but then again isn’t that the point. Why on earth does James Cameron feel like he needs to somehow critique this small and inconsequential movie. Silly little films are made every day. No need for the biggest name in film to pile on.Comment
