Seven reviews are up...all of them basically calling it a masterpiece.

Also, there are two clips up on Rotten tomatoes.

Yea, Hollywood Reporter talking about how it might even be better than the original. Supposedly it takes all of the great and adds to it without ruining the tempo and flow.

The only negatives were bright red vampire eyes (I agree it's not necessary). But, they say most of the amazing scenes are done with great camera work over CGI - which I find to be great.

I might be at the theatre when this releases.

          Re: Let Me In...

Okay, wow. This was a damn good movie.

I honestly don't even want to call it Horror, I want to call it Drama with a vampire... and I don't mean that like Twilight drama and Twilight vampires. The movie was actually very cute in a way. The acting was seriously top-notch, the subtle score played beautifully, and Matt Reeves' directing was, although sometimes distracting, crucial for the plot's sake and very consistent. I was a bit iffy on the editing when it came to vampire-like movements as it was pretty much just fast forwarding everything, but it needed to be supernatural somehow and at least it wasn't CGI.

The suspense was there, the tension was there, and I was in it the entire way. I never saw Let the Right One In, so I can't make the comparisons. This isn't really a spoiler, but I didn't really understand why the mom's face wasn't ever clearly shown in this movie kind of like the nanny from Muppet Babies, so I don't know if something like that was maybe carried over from the original.

In all it was a very riveting story, and I see a lot of different people warming up to like this movie. It really is a cute little love story at heart and happens to have some serious blood from a vampire, especially since I'm in love with cute little Chloe Moretz. Two movies in (as far as I've seen) and she is an unbelievable young actress. She and the main boy character really sold this movie for me with their interactions.

          Go see.

Now, will the general audience appreciate it? I sure hope so.

She is also in (500) Days of Summer - a smaller role, but a good one.

I think if those 16 year old kids that want to raid the theater and be loud are coming in and wanting to scream at loud moments, they will be sorely disappointed. This is not the movie's aim. If there are adults who would normally pass on a horror movie but can tolerate the slight fantasy element which includes some blood, I really do think they would appreciate it if looking at it in the right light.

This is just a movie that pushed the right buttons for the right audience watching.

Apparently I'm hearing she was also in The Amityville Horror (remake), which I've seen as well. I remember her role, but I can't remember her performance.

Depends on what crowd comes into the theater. The teens looking for something more gore/torture porn horror could easily ruin it for everyone else.

I guess nobody is going to see this. My local theater only had one showing (10:05) and it was only playing for a week or two. I wanted to see this, but nobody really wanted to go that late, so I guess I will wait for the blu-ray in a couple months.

Most of the theaters in my area stopped showing it and there's only one left. I'm hoping i can get to the theater thats still playing it before they drop it.

I watched it to a pretty packed house, but it only had four showings in a very popular Manhattan theatre.

Can't decide which version I like better, but the American version is stellar.
