This was one of the books that stood out to me as a kid so as much I was looking forward to the first two, it's doubly so for this one. I see "The Silver Chair" is possible as well. If so, I hope the franchise stays profitable enough to give the go ahead on the rest. Would be great to have the entire series on film finally.

It would be nice to finally get all of them on film. So far though they haven't done any that haven't already been done before. Silver Chair has also been done, so just need the other 3, but unless they do them soon, I don't know if it will work because they all have to come back for the Last Battle.

My favorite of the books and was hoping they'd be able to make this one happen.

However, I wasn't entirely enthralled with Prince Caspian. It was interesting, but I wouldn't consider it great.

I'll still watch this one because they are sailing and there's just so much to like about this story.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

I think I liked Prince Caspian a little more The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I wouldn't call it great either though. Neither hit a home run for me like LotR did, but as a fan of the series I'm pretty satisfied. Disney isn't behind this one, and it's a new director at the helm so I am pretty interested in seeing how Voyage compares to the first two.

I'm pretty sure they already decided not to make any more of these movies after Dawn Treader. It would have to do as well as the first two combined to merit another one I think.

You saying it would have to do better than a billion worldwide to merit another movie? That's crazy, doesn't sound right at all.

On Wikipedia they have Silver Chair listed as TBA.

I'd love to see the old PBS version of the Chronicles of Narnia again. I remember enjoying those a lot as a kid.

I have yet to see this film, but it was announced today that The Magician's Nephew is being discussed with Lewis's estate to be the fourth film.
