    Dish Network

    Anyone have it?

We are wanting to switch from our cable company because it's over priced and we only get maybe 10 HD channels. We don't even get CBS in HD...

We can't go Direct TV because there are thick trees blocking which way the dish would have to point.

Anyone to get around installation and other BS cost?

Yeah man much better than cable, just find a contractor if you want to get around the cost but im sure dish has deals just as good

you'll be saving money and getting better channels than cable either way

So trees won't block the Dish Network signal? Because right now I'm seriously wanting to drop my cable for Dish too but the house is completely ringed in trees.

both satellites are located in the southern skies. If you cant get direct tv , you wont be able to get dish. you may be able to get enough signal for SD channels, but you wont be able to get any HD. Add that to the fact you won't get any signal when the leaves are on the trees, and its windy or raining, snowing etc.

i had the same problem, thats how i know. Me and my buddy dropped like 4 trees in the winter and that solved the problem. You probably only need a gap of 30 feet or so. I have firewood for a while too.

I had this problem when I lived at my parents' house, but when I moved into my house a block up the hill, I was able to get the signal through where my street goes through the woods.

You would think they would have relay satellites to ensure that everyone who wanted service could get it.
