    Easy A

A spur of the moment decision had me taking my girlfriend and niece to watch a matinée of this one. AND I ACTUALLY LIKED IT!!(everyone did) Emma Stone's stock has gone through the roof. She's got the look and the charisma. Easy A has a touch of the great Ferris Bueller's Day Off to it but the musical number doesn't match Ferris's Twist And Shout rendition.

    Ah, the memories.

Cameron was in the movie Speed a decade later. He was one of the people on the bus and annoying Sandra Bulluck in the opening scene.

I read an article where they were comparing Emma already with Lindsey Lohan. Let's hope she takes a better path than Lindsey of late.

I watched Superbad the other night. Emma Stone is very cute, but I will probably wait to rent this one.

I just got back from seeing it with a group of friends tonight, it was alright. Not really much to say about it, from my standpoint.

I hear ya'. I was impressed by Emma Stone, the relationship with her parents, and the relationship with her teacher, in that order.

A great supporting cast with Thomas Haden Church (teacher), Patricia Clarkson (mother), and Stanley Tucci (father), but Stone's energy and charisma carried the day.

            Re: Easy A

Really liked this one. Just watched it on Netflix and was interested all the way through.

Kind of gave me that Mean Girls feel: not a film that will make you laugh repeatedly, but has its funny moments meshed in with a good coming-of-age story.

The only thing that I did not like was the Guidance Counselor's telling of her adultery to Olive. I just can't buy that a person in that situation would tell a teenager in high school that they did something that's perhaps one of the most illegal activities a school administrator could perform.

Everything else was great to me. Emma Stone is definitely a great young actor. Loved her handling of the script, her facial reactions and attitude throughout the film. Can't say no to Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson. Love them and loved them in this film.

"What does that matter? I'm adopted."
"What? Oh my god, who told you?"

            "Where are you from originally?"

Those parents were gold. And then this quote that just about made me nod my head off my neck.

"I don't know what your generation's fascination is with documenting your every thought... but I can assure you, they're not all diamonds. "Roman is having an OK day, and bought a Coke Zero at the gas station. Raise the roof." Who gives a rat's ***?"
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Yah I watched this with the fiancée via the instant queue and we though it was great.

Emma Stone's outfits weren't too bad either

I fell in love with Emma Stone after this film.

I mean, I always liked her, you know, face and stuff. But, she really won me over after this performance. I'm about to watch her hosting night at SNL again just for kicks.

I keep forgetting to check for this. I'm hoping I can blind buy it on blu for ~9.99 sometime. Emma's becoming my go to girl.

Same here. It's like Zooey Deschanel after 500 Days of Summer, I'll watch absolutely anything she's in. Aside from looks, I don't think the Lindsey Lohan comparison is very accurate. She seems way more even keeled. She's girl next door cute and red headed, so she's exactly my type.

I've been waiting for it to drop too. I'm sure Best Buy will at some point soon. Although we did have it for $14.99 not too long ago.

Didn't realize that Zooey is the sister of the star of Bones (Emily Deschanel). I never saw the show and didn't know the name of the star. I was also surprised the show has been on six seasons, and renewed for a number 7.
