I watched it, and I am not feeling it. The show jumped around in time, which was horrid, and you had zero idea what was going on until the final few and then it ended with a moment.

It's like they put Lost, 24, The 4400 and Heroes into a blender, dumped everything out and didn't bother to make the resulting mess entertaining or coherent.

I wonder who "they" are? The show did enough to make me want to keep watching.

I actually enjoyed last nights episode. OK, so it's more confusing than Lost, BUT I like those type of shows.

              It got pretty good ratings.

The sad thing about this is that 'House' went down. It was a great episode. We're glad to see 'The Event' made it though! source: tvbythenum...

Thank goodness for VOD. I'll check it out before next week's episode.

That was pretty much losts' formula. Make it concusung, figure out what the show is supposed to be somewhere in season 5, pray that you can figure a clever way to end the whole thing

The producers claim that answers will be given quickly. Their words: "We don't want to give the audience the perception that we're making it up as we go."

I found it interesting. But I also found Flash Forward interesting until mid-season.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Ehh.. I watched cause I got caught up and then I couldn't stop watching. Even though that happened, didn't feel the show at all. It jumped around WAY too much which was so confusing. You didn't know if it was 13 hours before, 13 months after, 8 days into it. Seemed like they were just trying to be creative ala Lost.

I need a show to replace Lost

I did not approve of this show or Chase right after. I see more struggles for NBC on the horizon.

I think they're shooting for Lost, but coming up way short.

The first two and a half seasons of Lost didn't explain a damn thing and had several intriguing mysteries where the possibilities were endless (what is the island, what are the numbers, who are the others, what is Dharma, what's in the hatch, what is the monster) and most of those were unanswered in full throughout most of the show.

This really has two mysteries. Who are "they" and who is the group who wants to keep them a secret or expose them by kidnapping the daughter/fiance and extorting the husband/father.

Personally I got far more of a Flashforward vibe from the show, as unlike Lost, they're going to have to explain the "mystery" of the show quickly or risk boring everyone. The nature of Lost's island where nobody knew what was going on was a huge advantage because there wasn't a vessel to keep things secret. In this, the president is a few hundred feet from actually seeing who "they" are. The final line of "I haven't told you everything" seemed to be trying to copy Charlie's "guys, where are we" a bit as well.

                              *speculation*
