Last night's episode was one of the worst of all-time.

I find it puzzling why Abby Elliot is even getting less screentime than last season. Jared Farrow also deserves more screentime.

I actually thought it was pretty funny. Especially the Brett Favre thing. Not the best, but no way the worst. But I've also really enjoyed this season of The Office so I just think we think different things are funny.

I enjoyed it as well. I guess I should say that I don't watch SNL with a critic's hat on though. I just want to catch a few funny sketches or lines and I'm rarely disappointed.

                  Best episode of the season.

The BTTF stuff and the Shy Ronnie video were really funny. All 3 of Hamm's episodes have been good.

                    re: Saturday Night Live

Shy Ronnie videos with Rihanna are great. Love the idea. After Hamm's monologue, I kept saying: "Please have Shy Ronnie. Please have Shy Ronnie." As soon as it popped up with SNL Digital Short, I smiled.

Rihanna looked great. Hamm always brings good to SNL.

Next week Scarlet. I love the Mike's Marblepolis sketches and I'm sure they'll bring it back for the fourth time (fourth for her as she made a cameo in Ryan Reynold's appearance as well).

I've always liked Scarlet Johannson's appearances. She fits right in there with Justin Timberlake for me. I find their appearances to be the bests of the season.

                    Back to Hamm's episode:

I'm still unsure about Vincent Price skits. I feel 50/50 with them.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

The sketch "I Didn't Ask for This" had me rolling when Hamm did that embarrassing cry. I love when he hosts, he's becoming Alec Baldwin 2.0.

                        re: Saturday Night Live

                        The upcoming schedule looks like:

                        11/13/10: Scarlett Johannson/Arcade Fire
11/20/10: Anne Hathaway/MG: Florence and the Machines
                        12/18/10: Jeff Bridges/

With Due Date coming out, I would have loved to see Downey Jr. return to SNL.
Once The Social Network gets an Oscar Nomination, hopefully JT comes back to host.

I've been waiting for Jay to come out with his rap impressions. I'm glad he's been doing good.

Agreed. Remember during Baldwin's original hosting gigs, he was the most serious guy on the face of the planet. Just like Hamm's character on Mad Men. It's refreshing to see how goofy he is when he's not in Don Draper character.

Hamm and Scarlett are my favorite hosts in recent memory. Scarlett always nails her skits, she's the ultimate professional.

She fascinates me in that she's able to keep it cool no matter how many cast members are close to breaking on screen. I'm not sure how she does it, keeps a straight face and still utters the lines that will only make the rest of the cast continue to laugh.

She almost broke during the Stars of Tomorrow sketch, when they were doing a scene from Brokeback Mountain. She ultimately kept it together though.

As for Hamm, yes he's definitely become one of my favorite hosts. I like that he doesn't take himself too seriously, he was in the season finale of Children's Hospital on [as] a couple of weeks ago too.

I'll take a good long look at Scarlett whenever I can so she's up there too.
