    New Supergroup: Black Country Communion

Three of these four guys I've barely heard of before.

Glen Hughes, lead singer from Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Trapeze
Joe Banamassa- Great blues guitarist. I need to check him out more.
Derek Sherinian- Keyboards, mostly Hammond Organ on this one. Played with Dream Theatre in the 90's.

Jason Bonham- This is the only one I knew before.

This was produced by Kevin Shirley of Aerosmith and Rush.

Glen Hughes describes the music as classic rock with a modern twist. That is an accurate description. If you enjoy classic rock of the 70's of Led Zep, Deep Purple and Dio, this CD is something to consider.

A lot of blues and good old rock and roll comes from this disc. Not one "rock ballad."

I got it for 10 bucks at BB and it includes a DVD with it. You might have to dig hard for it as BB didn't make a label for it. It was in the beginning of the B area.

All the basic tracks were completed in 4 days.

Hm that's a pretty good song there.

If the rest of the disc has a flavor like that then i'd probably like it.

        Thanks for the video, Nivek.

SPTO, the rest of the CD sounds similar to that song. The last song is 11 minutes long and there is probably about a 4 to 5 minute music jam at the end of the song.

Bonamassa has lead lyrics on some songs and they trade off lyrics on One Last Soul, another great song.

This is, without a doubt, my rock album of the year, so far.

Yeah, I think that is the last song on the disk, if I recall correctly.

11 minute song, and it's an great instrumental for the last seven minutes or so. The song before it, Sistah Jane has some good solos too.

Best rock album of the year for me.

                    Ok, thanks for the info.

I'll be sure to listen in the car tonight.

Wait to you hear song #12.

                    Long jam with Hammond Organ.

Thanks for Sharing it has a little Deep Purple vibe going. Ritchie is still one of my favorite guitar player. I love Deep Purple. They have a good little sound going too. Very talented players too.

Old enough to know who Deep Purple is , but was never really into that much. It's probably because every time I turned around, Smoke on the Water was playing, similar to Stairway to Heaven later and any Lady GagaGogo song now.

I knew Coverdale was a singer for Deep Purple, but never heard about Glenn Hughes before until I bought a Ronnie James Dio Greatest Hits disc this year and Hughes and Ronnie wrote some songs together.

Hughes has a great rock voice.

If I am not mistaken I think Ronnie was in Rainbow wth Ritchie. Maybe that is why Huge and him have a connection. I have always love Deep Purle every singer they got were very good, same for Rainbow in my opinion.

Bumping this thread for the sake of music! They are doing a mini tour this summer here in the States. I just saw Joe B. the other night in Worcester. Best concert I've ever been to. I'm going to see these guys in June at Hampton Beach.
