I know we always recommend bands to each other, but often times there are so many bands and songs to select from that I have no choice but to let most of them fly over my head since I don't have the time to hear them all or see if they would interest me.
That said, I wondered if maybe we could instead create a chain of songs together where each song is similar to the song posted before it. You know how Pandora tends to look at the overall song style and genre, matches similar voices, tones and melodies, tempo, lyrical content, etc. We can do the same in this thread when considering a similar song.
Here are the only rules:
- You base your song choice on the song above your post.
- You provide one and only one song (preferably via a YouTube embed) from a different band than the song above you.
- You provide a website link which signifies the band, such as their official site or their MySpace site.
I thought this would probably help me and others find bands that we might like. Obviously I'm going to start out with my own "station" with a band and song, so if someone wants to break it and start a new one that is fine too.
