anyone own Apple TV, I just got mine in the Mail today, the new black one that just came out. I ordered mine at the end of September and got it today at hone, going to hook it up tonight. Excited about it having netflicks so you get the best of both worlds, so anyone have it already who can give there opinion on it.

Love it so far, with netflix and youtube and apple tv rentals, this device is very cool

Could I burn DVDs on my computer and throw them on Apple TV so I could view on my TV?

Just got mine today Finally! Checked it out pretty quick made sure it connected to my Mac and everything. Looks good. Cant wait to start watching some of my movie library. My iphone started messing up during movies so its been a while since I was able to watch anything.

my only complaint thus far is the typing with the remote. Its horrible. Hopefully they get an iphone remote app for this version and it solves this problem. Putting in my password and email address to sign in, and to search for stuff takes forever

you can use your ipad to type if you have one, the ipad and apple tv play so nice.

nah, just an iphone. I tried using the app they have but its just for the old apple tv, hopefully there is an update soon.

I saw in the newspaper ads today that Amazon has marked down the Apple TV 160gb Hard Drive model MB189LL/A from $229 to $129:

With the newer model still running $99, which is the better deal? I've heard the newer model doesn't output in 1080p but I don't know much else for comparison..


Any opinions?

neither does 1080p. 720p is the highest resolution

I have one and I love it. I watch all my Netflix on there. Aside from a few select shows, I buy complete seasons of tv shows I like thru iTunes as well as a few movies I don't deem to be blu-ray purchase worthy.

Having a lot of Apple devices also helps because of AirPlay. For $99, it's a really good purchase.
