Has anyone picked this up? I loved this show when I was growing up, and now I'm an avid collector of random ****. I read they cut down from 296 episodes to like 100, ditching all the filler episodes and powering up.

Worth it?

I think its worth it. I havent seen it on Dvd or Bluray but!
Its been on Nicktoon TV all the time and it looks awesome.

I miss DBZ so much, it was so awesome like 6 - 8 years ago.
Im def gonna pick these all up eventually

I was interested in picking up a DBZ but didn't know if it was worth it to get the seasons on DVD. Wanted an update or something to justify it. I think I might have to scoop it up sooner than later. It's in the Amazon wishlist.

Like the OP said, it's the same series without all the filler and powering up.

no animation or sound improvements? just cutting down on goku powering up for five episodes straight?

Essentially though, it's the same series you remember but prettier and to the point.
