Re: The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Its been on for about a week now. They started off by showing seperate 15 minute shorts, then the real episodes started coming on, in no real order. Ive recorded episodes 1, 3, 7, then it skipped to the double digit episodes.

Weird but the show is fantastic

^The doctor was killed right after Rogers got the treatment, and no one else can duplicate his work. Undercover work on a new super serum is always a central theme though nowadays...especially with S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yeah, watched all the mini eps yesterday. http://disney.go.com/xd/avengers/videos/index.html (Start at the bottom)

Just realized that it's the same folks who made Superhero Squad, which is a dream come true. I wished that a show with that depth could get a more serious treatment, and it's here.

Marked out yesterday with a pretty simple scene, lol...IM was briefly surrounded by Blizzard, Whiplash and Living Laser. I still have the issue where those three C-listers agreed to gang up on brother Starks. Fanservice at it's best, man this show is gonna be bananas.

So one should watch the mini eps first?

Re: The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

The mini eps are mainly just small segments from the actual eps 1-5, but there are a few extras. Like Dre said tho...it's kind confusing how they're releasing this stuff.

The first episode is a 2-parter, which primarily features the breakout of 74 super villains from the Vault and 3 other super-prisons, which all go offline at the same time, culminating with the best boss battle I've ever seen in a Marvel 'toon. Then, episodes 3-7 are like prequels and all lead up to episode one(?) They're all origin/background stories on the main characters, but it's kinda strange to have the big battle episode that brings them all together aired first.

EDIT: OK went through the actual episode list.

The bottom line is that episodes 1 & 2 (Breakout 1 &2) are the storyline kickoff, and then the next five are the full length IM, Thor, Hulk, Cap and Wasp/Ant Man origin eps that lead up to "Breakout". The mini eps are simply those same 5 origin shows broken into 20 5-minute segments. I suppose they felt leading with Breakout would have a bigger impact than starting slow with the origin episodes. The mini eps allowed them to give you the backstory without leading with those slower origin shows.

They got some GI Joe for ya too, lol. Notice the chopper pilot in the Hulk episode?

                      Wild Bill in the house.

This is gonna be the unofficial "little things" or "did you catch that" thread for the show.

Lol, I saw that. Caught up on the full episodes and yeah, it's a good take on them. First boss fight was indeed nice. One question though, how the hell did Hulk get from Las Vegas to New York in less than a day?
