HD over Coaxial?
In this past month I have seen this twice. I didn't even know you could do it. One was at a hotel, and the other was at my friends apartment through a normal cable service. Friends cable doesn't even have a box.

Re: HD over Coaxial?
Coax carries HD to your cable box, the box is just acting as a decoder, the same decoder that is in most HDTVs BTW, the difference being that the cable box decodes the encrypted signal. If you hooked your cable directly into your TV and scanned you would find your local channels coming through in HD.
It's cheaper to decode TV for an entire building than put multiple boxes in every unit. -

All of my HD channels are in the hundreds so I don't even think I can get them. I guess it's the encryption that will get me.Comment
